Trademark and Brand Usage Policy
Version 1 August 2026 · effective and last updated 1 August 2026 · last reviewed 1 August 2026
What this covers
This policy is the “usage guidelines we provide” referred to in Terms of Service § 8. It applies to any organisation currently holding a valid Sacred Logic™ Charter Mark, and to anyone referencing the mark, the register, or a certificate. It sits under, and doesn't replace, Terms § 8–9.
The licence
While your Charter Mark is valid, we grant you a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, royalty-free licence to display the mark and reference your certification (for example “Sacred Logic™ Charter Mark, {Tier}”) on your own website, marketing materials, advertising, social media, and product documentation, provided the display accurately reflects your current tier and scope — the same scope shown on your public register entry. This licence is personal to your organisation: you may not sub-licence, assign, or transfer it, including on a merger, acquisition, or sale of the certified business, without our written agreement.
Prohibited uses
You may not:alter, distort, recolour, or combine the mark with other elements in a way that changes how it reads; use the mark to suggest Sacred Logic endorses a specific product feature, claim, or output beyond the certified scope; use the mark once your certification has expired, lapsed, or been suspended or revoked; or imply that the mark is a government approval, a statutory conformity mark, or broader than the voluntary AI assurance scheme it is (see the Disclaimer).
Comparative use and advertising
You may factually state that you hold a Sacred Logic™ Charter Mark in paid advertising, social media, and comparative marketing (for example, alongside other certifications or standards you hold). You may not use the mark to imply that an organisation without one is unsafe, non-compliant, or inferior in a way the Human Values Framework itself doesn't support, or present a comparison that misleadingly suggests our tiers reflect a safety ranking rather than organisational scale (see the register and Certification Rules § 2). Paid search ads, sponsored social posts, and press releases referencing the mark are treated the same as any other marketing material under this policy.
Sizing, colour, and clear space
Use the mark as supplied, at a size where it remains legible, with reasonable clear space around it so it isn't crowded by other logos or text. We don't yet publish exact minimum-size or clear-space measurements or a downloadable brand-asset kit with fixed colour values — if you need the mark in a specific format, contact us and we'll help directly.
Registry references and certificate reproduction
You may link to your public register entry (/registry) and reproduce your own issued certificate in full and unaltered (for example, to show a customer or in a tender response). Don't crop, edit, or reproduce only part of a certificate in a way that could mislead a reader about its scope, tier, or validity dates.
What happens on suspension, revocation, or expiry
The licence above lasts only as long as your Charter Mark is valid. If your mark is suspended, unpublished, or revoked (Terms § 19, Certification Rules § 7), or simply expires without renewal, the licence ends and your right to display the mark and describe yourself as certified stops immediately for the affected scope — this applies identically whichever of the three happened. We may ask you to remove it from live materials and, where reasonably practicable, from future print runs. Historical/archived material you no longer control (e.g. past press coverage) isn't something we expect you to retroactively edit, but continuing to actively display, promote, or advertise an expired, suspended, or revoked mark after being asked to stop is a breach of this policy and Terms § 8–9, and may also infringe our trademark rights. A reader can always check current status at /verify, which distinguishes current, expired, suspended, and revoked marks.
Third parties (not the certified organisation)
Journalists, researchers, and others may reference the Charter Mark and link to the public register or a certificate to accurately report on it, without this counting as certified-holder use above. This doesn't extend to implying Sacred Logic authored or endorses third-party content.
